Sweet cherry is a popular fruit tree in Europe and Asia. Berries are traditionally used in cooking and folk medicine.
Tall deciduous tree with smooth bark and large juicy berries. Blooms in spring with white flowers; fruits ripen in summer.
Handpicking ripe cherries from branches. Using special baskets or containers for careful harvesting.
Harvest cherries when fully ripe — bright red or dark red. Best harvest time is a dry day, morning or evening.
Berries can be eaten fresh, used for jams, compotes, and baking. Wash and remove pits before use.

1. Wash berries and remove pits.
2. Mix berries with sugar in 1:1 ratio.
3. Let sit for several hours to release juice.
4. Cook on low heat until thickened.
5. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
